NOT SO EMPTYNEST ANYMORE

We had this great life after the 5 kids moved out.  After years of raising children, there was some ME time and I could come and go as I pleased.  I got a few doggies (OK, six ), the kids and grand kids would visit and go home...I just gotta say again it was great!  But to make along story short.....we have kids again.

My daughter, her husband and 2 children (and cat) needed a place to stay for 6 months while they wait on there new house and while it may take a little getting used too,( it could be a long 6 months, or a short 6 months) I'm sure we will have great memories, (once its over).

The dogs already got the baby figured out!  They know if they wait long enough she will drop something.  Id be scared if I seen 5 dogs surround my chair while I was eating!

Playtime for the doggies is all day now

And the pups have to share there chair and there daddy!

So yes, we will all be adjusting (and the poor cat will have to get used to dogs chasing her) and gramma will have to give up her FREE time for now, but for these cute faces I would give up anything!(except the hubby or the doggies, or the other kids)

  1. Let the par-tay begin! Our grand peeps just left our house and now we are all taking a deep breath. There's a lot of action with 2 grand peeps and 2 pups!

  2. Awww that sounds like it will be a grrrreat six months. Mum and Dad have five kids. Two left home, three to go but mum is not looking forward to it at all. We love, love, love the photo of your little peep in the high chair surrounded by doggies. Classic! Take care all. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  3. Haven't had a chance to stop by lately. Glad things are well with you and yours! I wonder if the pups have ever heard the saying, "It's like taking candy from a baby." So cute!!

  5. LOL. Sharing is loving! So babies and doggies will be sharing a daddy. That's fine. More love to surround the room.

    Happy Halloween.

  7. Hi Everyone. The children are absolutely adorable. We should be in the same situation soon. Our Pawrents (mainly my Dad) want to move back to Southern California. When they do, my sister Lauren, Dave (husband) and Cayden (2 years) and two rather large dogs will be moving in with us temporarily. Right now they live in Michigan and Dave (a diver and underwater welder) wants to move back to the area of his hometown in Southern California.

Ollie and I are excited. The house will look like a doggie day care and a preschool. Mom thrives in chaos, but Dad (think Felix Unger) will just have to adjust.

    Hugs and yips,
    Cappy and Ollie

    PS: Mom loves the tent.

  8. You will be busy! Looks like the furbabys love it tho! Coco would hang next to the high chair too when a grandbaby was in it! Only takes one little piece of food to drop and the doggies have the idea! Enjoy! Nancy
